Comprehensive Study Launched to Revive Khartoum’s Industrial Sector

Khartoum, Sudan – A ten-day study to assess the current condition of Khartoum State’s industrial sector was launched on Tuesday at the Ministry of Industry and Trade headquarters. The launch was attended by Director-General Amin Hassan Abdel-Banat, Dr. Imad Al-Din Khatmi on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Industry, along with experts and specialists in the field.

The study, organized by the federal and state ministries of industry and trade, will include field visits to major industrial zones. Teams will evaluate damage to infrastructure, particularly power, water, and industrial facilities, caused by rebel militias. The assessment also aims to estimate reconstruction costs and accelerate the resumption of industrial activity across Khartoum.

Officials emphasized that the findings will serve as a foundation for rebuilding efforts and help guide policies for industrial recovery.
