Sudan’s Mobilization Is a Legitimate Defense of the Nation

Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism Khalid El-Ei’aser has defended the ongoing mobilization and popular resistance campaigns, describing them as a legitimate and historic response to the existential threats facing Sudan. Speaking at a Sudan News Agency (SUNA) forum attended by members of the National Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance, chaired by Lt. Gen. Bashir Maki El-Bahi, he said the war was not an internal dispute but a foreign-backed invasion aimed at dismantling the state.

El-Ei’aser questioned the involvement of non-African and regional actors such as Colombia and neighboring countries in Sudan’s affairs, asserting that such actions confirm the external dimension of the conflict. He urged all patriotic citizens to join the Popular Resistance and the Armed Forces in defense of the homeland.

The minister emphasized that Sudan was entering a decisive stage that demanded unity between civilians and the military to safeguard national sovereignty. He said steadfastness and solidarity were essential to overcoming the crisis and protecting the state from disintegration.

El-Ei’aser also offered condolences to the families of victims in El-Fashir and Bara and expressed gratitude to friendly nations, media organizations, and the Sudanese people for their continued support in defending the country’s cause.
