Sudanese swimmer Ziad Salim claimed his country’s first gold medal in the 200-meter race at the opening of the Zone 3 African Swimming Championships in Nairobi, Kenya. The four-day event features five Sudanese swimmers, three of them men.
Ziad will also compete in backstroke and other events, while Adam Ahmed races in freestyle, and Rana, Jana Weiss, and Yassin represent Sudan in freestyle and butterfly competitions.
