Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Saif al-Nasr al-Tijani Haroun, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing the investment climate and streamlining procedures for domestic and foreign investors.
Speaking after a meeting with Sudanese business leaders, attended by Sudan Airways Director General Captain Mazen al-Awad, Minister Haroun highlighted that roads, bridges, railways, and air and river transport projects remain top priorities for the government.
The discussions focused on investment opportunities across transport, infrastructure, and reconstruction. Al-Awad described the aviation sector as a “real treasure” and emphasized Sudan’s readiness to attract investment in air cargo, ground handling, and logistics through strategic partnerships under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.
Meanwhile, Mohamed al-Nour Sharif, Secretary-General of the National Union of Sudanese Entrepreneurs Abroad, stressed the importance of government-private sector collaboration to support infrastructure projects and sustainable development.
