The Ministry of Finance has reached an agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to enhance cooperation in technical support, particularly in strengthening public financial management systems. The initiative aims to improve transparency, align with international standards, and promote good governance.

Minister of State Dr. Mohamed Nour Abdel Daim announced the agreement following his meeting on Wednesday with UNDP Resident Representative Luca Renda at the ministries complex in Port Sudan.

Dr. Abdel Daim briefed the UNDP official on the ministry’s strategies for reforming financial systems and accelerating digital transformation in both the financial and economic sectors.

For his part, Renda reaffirmed the UNDP’s commitment to providing technical expertise through sectoral specialists to support Sudan’s economic reforms.
